All accounts held at Bank Zero for all individuals and all non-financial businesses are automatically covered by the Corporation for Deposit Insurance up to a total of R100 000 for each separate legal entity, across all accounts in that specific legal entity.

We even cover children separately! It’s also exciting that businesses who have opened accounts as sole proprietors or basic partnerships, are separately covered from those same individuals’ personal cover.

At Bank Zero friended (shared) accounts’ money are insured in the name of those that contributed to the shared account. This is important if you are part of a stokvel or any other group savings account.
